Veleda V. Boucher

1939-2016 Mrs. Veleda V. (Trombley) Boucher, 76, formerly of 549 State Road, North Adams, died early Tuesday morning, March 16, 2016, at Williamstown Commons. She was born in Mooers, New York on September 2, 1939, a daughter of the late Frederick and Eva (Brassard) Trombley, and came to North Adams as a child with her family. She attended North Adams schools. Mrs. Boucher last worked as a manager at Goodies candy store in North Adams, until retiring in 1990. Earlier, she had worked at the former Adams Super Market and A & P Supermarket, North Adams. She was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mercy Church, North Adams. She was also a singer and a guitarist in an all-female band in Zephyrhills, Florida, where she and her husband spent the winters for most of their retirement. Her husband, Joseph A. Boucher, whom she married on November 15, 1958, died on June 25, 2004. She is survived by four sons, Alan Boucher (Maureen) of Adams; David Boucher (Teresa), of North Adams; Gary Boucher (Paula) of North Adams; and Craig Boucher (Donna) of North Adams; two sisters, Theresa Maino (David) ; and Gloria DiGrigoli (Carmello), both of Florida; twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Trombley. FUENRAL SERVICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 10:30 AM in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, North Adams. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. There are no calling hours. The PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
