1913 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Viola M. Olson, 100, peacefully joined her Lord and Savior the morning of July 7, 2014, in Oregon. Viola was born in Northampton, on Aug. 19, 1913, daughter of George Francis and Andrea Tomine Paul. In 1934, she married the love of her life, John A. Olson. They had two daughters, Gwendolyn and Susan, and were a devoted, loving couple for almost 64 years before his death in 1998. The Lord blessed Viola with unwavering faith, incredible energy, extravagant love for family and friends, creative passion for old houses and antique furniture and an inquisitive mind to explore political intrigue. Viola also joins in heaven her siblings, Hilda Johnsen, Bertha Hintze, George Paul; daughter Gwen Wright; grandson, Rod Wright; and great-grandson, Andrew Wright. We miss her presence, but celebrate her promotion!
