1930 - 2014 SANDISFIELD Violet M. Hryckvich died peacefully at home on Sunday, March 24, 2013, surrounded by family, after a three -year battle with lung cancer.
A native and lifelong resident of Sandisfield, Violet was born on July 4, 1930, to Walter and Mabel Adams, the oldest of nine children.
She was a devoted friend who loved her family and helped many neighbors in need. An avid gardener and cook - no one ever left her table hungry. She was a long time polling booth and VA volunteer and member of the First Congregational Church of Blandford.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Alexander Hryckvich; her daughter, Linda Fales and her husband, Tenney of Egremont; two grandchildren, Alice Weaver of San Diego, Calif., and Alexcia Adams and her husband, Pau,l of St. Paul, Minn.; her great-grandson. Andrew Tenney Adams; her brothers, Walter Adams, and David Adams and his wife, Mary; her sisters, Doris Reed; Edith Daniels and her husband George; Eva Hunt; and Marie Cripps and her husband, Donald, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brother, Donald; by her sister, Eunice, and grandson, Justin.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service will be held at Sandisfield Center Cemetery at a future date.

One of her favorite scriptures, Psalm 121: I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
