Walter E. Kaczowski

1950 - 2015 NORTH ADAMS Walter E. Kaczowski, 65, of 230 Furnace St, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015, at the Berkshire Medical Center Satellite Emergency Facility in North Adams. Born in Adams on February 18, 1950, son of the late William and Madeline Witherow Kaczowski he attended Adams Schools and graduated from the former Adams High School in 1969. Walter was employed with the General Electric Co. in Pittsfield as an assembler for 30 years, retiring in 2006. Walter was a member of the First Congregational Church in Adams, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchild. He is survived by his wife, the former Sandra Pierce, whom he married on February 4, 1972, a son, Travis Kaczowski of Adams, a daughter, Amy Kaczowski of Adams, a brother, Robert Kaczowski of Adams, a sister, Linda Blanchard of North Adams, 10 grandchildren, a great-grandchild and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Melissa Kaczowski. SERVICES: Services for Walter will take place on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 11a.m. from the TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, with the Rev. Michael Mullany, Pastor of the First Congregational Church in Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4 to 7p.m. Donations in his memory can be made to the Adams Ambulance in care of the funeral home.
