William H. "Andy" Blake

1923-2013 WINDSOR William H. "Andy" Blake, 90, of North Street, passed away December 5, 2013 at Berkshire Medical Center. Born October 19, 1923 in Lenox, MA, the son of George and Bessie Clark Blake, he was a 1938 graduate of Lenox High School. He served in the US Marine Corps, as an Aerial Photographer in Guam. He was the General Manger of NCR, worked for the Town of Windsor Highway Department and was a self-employed truck driver. Andy served as the treasurer for the Town of Windsor for six years. He was a founding member of the Windsor Volunteer Fire Department, enjoyed fishing and photography. Andy loved his family the Marine Corps and was an avid Red Sox's and Patriots Fan. He leaves his wife the former Doris Thompson whom he married October 2, 1946, daughter Karen Wong and her husband Tim of Camarillo, CA, son Will Blake and his wife Catherine of Windsor, grandsons Craig, Andrew, Jason and great granddaughter Airanna. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Andy Blake will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 2PM at BARTLETT WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in the Shaw Cemetery in Windsor, MA. Calling hours will be the day of the service from 12-2pm. Donations in his memory may be made to the Windsor Volunteer Fire Department in care of the funeral home, 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
