Joseph O. Volff

1934-2014 CLARKSBURG Mr. Joseph Octave Volff, 79, of 398 Houghton St. died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Berkshire Medical Center. He was born in Washington, Mass. on October 21, 1934, son of Octave and Myrtle (Wood) Volff. He graduated from McCann Technical High School. Joseph was last employed at the Williams Inn until his retirement. Before that, he worked at Jaeschke's Apple Orchard. He attended the First Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his wife, Emma (Sprague) Volff whom he married in 1957; one daughter. Lisa Volff; one son, Anthony P. Phillips; and one granddaughter, Anya Volff, all of Clarksburg. He also leaves four sisters, Barbara Volff of North Adams, Rose Dionisi and her husband, Carl of Springfield, Margaret Thiel and her husband, Arthur of Savoy; and Laura Sunn of Adams; one brother, James Volff and his wife Charlene of Adams; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Doris, Anna, and Jeanne. FUNERAL NOTICE: The Funeral for Joseph Volff will be Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2 p.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA.
