Kathy Jean Freniere
1959-2013 PITTSFIELD Kathy Jean Freniere, 54, of 66 Howard Street, Pittsfield, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at her home. Born in Pittsfield on May 23, 1959, the daughter of Kathleen Lewis Hook and the late Jack Hook, she was educated in Lanesborough schools and was a graduate of Mount Greylock Regional High School. Mrs. Freniere was the Director of Dietary Services for The Carmelite Sisters for ten years. She had previously been employed as an assembler at Syntronics and Polymatrix. She had been the Sales Manager in her father's business, Jack's Cycle Shop. Mrs. Freniere is remembered as being very generous lady who gave to many children's organizations during the Christmas season. She enjoyed reading. She leaves her husband, Ronald R. Freniere, whom she married December 24, 1983. Besides her husband and her mother, she is survived by a brother, John D. Hook, of North Carolina, and several cousins, as well as nieces and nephews in Berkshire County. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for Kathy Jean Freniere will be held Saturday, February 8, at 11 a.m., at at DERY FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Charles F. Young, Chaplain with HospiceCare in The Berkshires, officiating. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare in The Berkshires in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
