Jerry Kim Tesney
1943 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Jerry Kim Tesney, 71, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center. Born Jan. 4, 1943, in Brilliant, Ala., the son of the late Kim and Rachel Tesney, he attended schools in Alabama and was a graduate of Brilliant High School. Jerry was employed for many years as a computer programmer for Berkshire Health Systems, before moving on to Pittsfield Mold & Tool, where he retired in 2004. Jerry was an avid golfer and reader, and enjoyed working on crossword puzzles. He also appreciated spending time at home and visiting with his family and friends. Jerry leaves his life partner, Loraine "Rainy" Steadman; his son, David W. Tesney, of Pittsfield; daughter, Aimee Tesney Sims and her husband Michael, of Alexandria, Va. He will be especially missed by his two grandchildren, Caylie and Ian Sims. He also leaves a sister, Judy Gann, and niece Kristi Gann-Franks, both of Alabama, and his feline friends Bandit and Bella. He is predeceased by a brother Gary Tesney and his son Jon Paul Tesney. FUNERAL NOTICE: In keeping with his wishes, a celebration of his life will take place at a location and time to be announced.
