Chaya St. Martin
1952 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Chaya Jeanne Desaulniers St. Martin, 61, formerly of Grand Avenue, Pittsfield, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at Hillcrest Commons, where she had been a patient since January. Born in Pittsfield on Nov. 24, 1952, a daughter of the late George and Muriel Wells Desaulniers, she was educated in West Stockbridge and Great Barrington schools, and was a 1970 graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School. Chaya was formerly employed by General Electric Company, for many years. She attended Temple Anshe Amunim. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, music, and animals. Chaya is survived by a son, Brian St. Martin, of Becket; four brothers, Paul Desaulniers of Pittsfield, Daniel Desaulniers of Chicopee, David Desaulniers and his wife, Margaret, of San Francisco, Calif., and Thomas Desaulniers and his wife, Andrea, of Glastonbury, Conn.; three sisters, Patricia Nally and her husband, Sean, Denise Mais and her husband, Michael, and Caroline Russo and her partner, Bruce Skubel, all of Pittsfield; two grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Edward, Robert, and Richard Desaulniers, and a sister, Elaine Desaulniers. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Chaya Jeanne Desaulniers St. Martin will be held Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 1 p.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield, with Rabbi Josh Breindel of Temple Anshe Amunim officiating. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society or to the
