Blanche E. Kieltyka

1917-2014 ADAMS Mrs. Blanche E. (Gradziel) Kieltyka, 96, of 48 Summer St. Adams, died Tuesday afternoon, March 4, 2014, at North Adams Commons. She was born in Adams on June 30, 1917, daughter of the late John and Anna (Smola) Gradziel. She attended Adams schools, including St. Stanislaus Kostka School, and was a graduate of the C.H. McCann Technical School Postgraduate Nursing Program. Mrs. Kieltyka last worked as a certified nursing assistant at the former Adams Nursing Home in Adams. Earlier, she had worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. in Adams. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, where she was very active in parish functions, including the annual bazaar and Polish picnics. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Her husband, Thaddeus Kieltyka, whom she married on November 21, 1936, died May 27, 1969. She is survived by a son, Francis Kieltyka and his wife, Carole, of Los Alamos, New Mexico; five Grandchildren, Karen Lefebvre and her husband, Michael; Nancy Baran and her husband, Peter; Barbara Schwallie and her husband, David; Joseph Kieltyka and his wife, Deborah; and Richard Kieltyka and his wife, Jennifer; 10 Great Grandchildren, Ryan O'Hearn, Nathan O'Hearn and his wife, Rebecca; Daniel Schwallie and his wife, Amanda; Andrea Schwallie, and Sarah, Matthew, Rachel, Jacqueline, Mackenzie and Jonathan Kieltyka; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Dolores Kelly, in 2010; a granddaughter, Lynne Marie Reed in 2002; and by her brother, Stanley Gradziel in 2009. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 8th, at 11:00 AM in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Deacon Gregory LaFreniere, of the Parish of Blessed John Paul, Adams, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the service, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka School, 108 Summer St. Adams, MA 01220.
