Patricia M. Gleason

LENOX - Patricia Marie Roche Gleason, 76, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, April 10, after a short illness, at the Grand Strand General Hospital in South Carolina. Born in Pittsfield, Patricia was a 1954 graduate of Lenox High School. She married her loving husband of 57 years, David Mark Gleason on Feb. 17, 1957, and together they moved to Springfield in 1967. At the age of 40, she went to nursing school and became an LPN, and worked for many years as a geriatric nurse. Patricia spent many years on Lake Champlain at her cottage on the point, with family and friends and, after her retirement, she enjoyed spending her winters in Myrtle Beach, S.C. She is survived by her loving husband, David Mark Gleason; her devoted daughters, Catherine Virginia Gleason, Carol Anne Gleason, Cynthia Marie Fiorini and Carla "Candy" Jane Stowers; her son, Christopher Mark Gleason; grandchildren, Nicholas and Samantha Stowers, Jill Fiorini and Joseph and Chelsea Budd. She also leaves other extended family and friends. FUNERAL NOTICE: Family and friends are invited to meet for calling hours on Tuesday, April 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam. Patricia's Funeral Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, April 16 at 9:45 a.m. at the Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, followed by committal services at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Big Brothers Big Sisters, 101 State St. Ste 601, Springfield, MA 01103.
