Rose Marion Boni
1927 - 2014 NORTH ADAMS Miss Rose Marion Boni, 87, of 149 Glen Ave., North Adams, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Springside Nursing Home. She was born in North Adams on Jan. 30, 1927, daughter of Cesare V. and Emma Petri Boni. She attended the Haskins School and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1945. Rose joined the Vogue and Vanity Women's Apparel Store in Williamstown, where she worked for more than 30 years. When it closed, she joined the Elise Farrar Women's Apparel in Lenox, where she worked for over 10 years until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church, where she was a member of its Rosary Society and volunteered at its annual bazaar. Rose enjoyed spending time with her close friends, known affectionately as "The Girls." She was devoted to her nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Rose was a Boston Red Sox baseball fan. Survivors include her sister, Marion Owen; two brothers, Rudolph Boni of North Adams and Joseph Boni and his wife, Beverly, of Williamstown, and nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Cesare Boni and Richard Boni. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Rose Boni will be Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 11 a.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams.
