1935-2014 NORTH ADAMS Jean Elaine Bellows Faustini, 79, of Dean Street, died at Berkshire Medical Center on Sunday, June 1, 2014. She was born in North Adams on February 11, 1935, a daughter of the late Eugene and Alice Benoit Bellows. She graduated from Notre Dame Parochial School and completed its commercial course. She was last employed by the New England Telephone Co. for many years as a telephone operator until her retirement in 1985. She was an active communicant of the former Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church. She was devoted to her church by singing in the church choir, teaching CCD and volunteered at many church functions. In 2009 she was the recipient of the Pius X award for outstanding service in religious education. She was a member of the Catholic Charities and a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She lived life to the fullest and was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was the widow of Ernest P. Faustini Sr. who died on December 21, 1985. They were married on February 13, 1954 in Notre Dame Church. Survivors include her daughter, Deanna Faustini, her loving caregiver of 10 years with whom she lived; a son, Christopher E. Faustini of Smithfield, Va. as well as four granddaughters, Lynn, Sara, Nicole, and Emma Faustini; and a great-grandson Dylan. She also leaves a brother, Lawrence Bellows of North Adams and a sister, Loretta Cwalinski of Adams and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Faustini was predeceased by two sons, Ernest Faustini Jr. who died April 28, 1978 and Daniel J. Faustini who died April 27, 2010 and a sister, Alice Lesnik and a sister who died in infancy. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the life Jean Faustini will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams.
