Gary Arnold

1951-2014 SAVOY Gary Joseph Arnold, 62 of 100 Horton Rd., died Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Bay State Medical Center. He was born in North Adams on July 19, 1951, son of Claire Lambert Arnold and the late Aime J. Arnold. He attended schools in Stamford, Vt. and Drury High School. Gary was last employed by Brown Packaging Co. Before that, he worked in the black-topping business with various contractors. He was a communicant of St. John Bosco Church. Gary enjoyed golfing, riding his motorcycle, working on antique cars, hunting, and playing cribbage. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Gary was a friend to everyone who knew him. Survivors include his mother, Claire Arnold of North Adams; one daughter, Ramona Meczywor and her fiancee, Danyle Mazzacco of Adams; one son, Gary J. Arnold Jr. of Austin, Texas; and three grandchildren, Justin, Joshua, and Addisyn Meczywor. He also leaves six brothers, Andrew Arnold and his wife, Gail, Edward Arnold; and Michael Arnold and his wife, Mary Jane, all of North Adams; and Lawrence Arnold and his wife, Bette, and Richard Arnold and his wife, Sandy, all of Stamford, Vt.; and Christopher Arnold and his wife, Jackie of Savoy; and one sister, Diane Bushika and her husband, Joseph of Clarksburg; his former wives, Bernadette Cimonetti and Claudia Crews; and nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Gary Arnold will be Saturday June 7, 2014 at 11 a.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams. Burial will follow in Millard Cemetery in Stamford, Vt. Calling hours at the funeral home are Saturday, morning from 9 to 11 a.m. Donations may be made in his memory to the funeral home.
