Nancy Clark Obituary
Nancy Neville Clark

NORTH ADAMS Known for her candor, strength, sensibility, and incredible Thanksgiving stuffing, Nancy Neville Clark, wife of the late Allan Harry Clark, passed away peacefully in her home on June 13, 2014, surrounded by her family, after a remarkable 90 years. Nancy was the daughter of Mary Gillan Thomson and James Neville, and sister to late brothers, James Thomson Neville and Gordon Bruce Neville. Nancy, who grew up on Eagle Street in North Adams, graduated from Drury High School in 1941. She loved to bike and especially ski, having served on the ski patrol at Dutch Hill. Having begun her career at Arnold Printworks in North Adams, in the only computer department in the city, she worked there for a year, and then moved to a job at Brightwater Paper Company. After starting a family, she joined the staff at the Williams College Library, where she worked for 24 years before retiring from the Serials Department in 1992. She was an avid quilter, gardener, and traveler. Throughout her life, Nancy was deeply committed to her family despite the great distances, even oceans, that separated them. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Grosso of New Ashford, Mass. and Kathi Clark-Orsanic of Melbourne, Australia, as well as her four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE: In lieu of flowers, Nancy has requested donations to the Women's Fellowship at the First Congregational Church in North Adams.
