George E. Belanger
1941 - 2014 POWNAL, VT. George E. Belanger, 73, of Barber Pond Road, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, N.Y. He was born in North Adams, Mass., on May 13, 1941, a son of the late George E. and Ruth (Booth) Belanger. He attended schools in North Adams. George was the owner and operator of the Hollow Bore Co. in Pownal. He also employed for several years at the former George's Gulf Station in Williamstown, Mass., as a mechanic. George enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his yard and was an avid NASCAR fan Survivors include his wife, Gail Ouellette; two daughters, Laurie O'Dell and her husband, Victor and Megan Belanger; two sons, Jamie and Mickey Belanger; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sons, Aron, John and George Belanger; by two brothers, Donald Belanger, and John Belanger who died at the age of six months, and by a sister, Edna. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Celebration of George E. Belanger's life will take place Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the FLYNN DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass. Calling Hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Burial will take place on Friday at 12 (Noon) at the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
