Alice M. Lunney

1921 - 2014 NORTH ADAMS Alice M. Lunney 92, of 14 Chesbro Ave. died Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. She was born in South Lawrence on Dec. 5, 1921, a daughter of Edward Joseph Lunney and Ann B. (Carragher) Lunney. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in North Adams. She was employed for many years at the Sprague Electric Co., retiring in 1983. She was a longtime communicant of St. Francis of Assisi and later at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Survivors include her nephew, John Ternan and his wife, Claire of Nashua, N.H., grandniece, Laurua Casanova of Chile and grandnephew, Christopher Ternan of Brookline, and several great-grandnieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Rita Ternan, who died Feb. 16, 1975 and Edna Lunney who died Nov. 16, 1997, and by two brothers, Edward Lunney who died July 8, 1988 and the Rev. Monsignor J. Albert Lunney who died Mar. 16, 2001. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for EWTN at 5817 Old Leeds Rd.
