Robert J. DiSanti

1947 - 2014 ADAMS Mr. Robert James DiSanti, 66, of 9 First St., died Tuesday evening, Aug. 19, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center-North in North Adams. He was born in Adams on Dec. 24, 1947, the son of the late Vincent A. and Isabelle R. (Mahar) DiSanti. He attended Adams schools, and graduated from C.H. McCann Technical High School, North Adams. He was Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with United States Marine Corps from 1965 until his Honorable Discharge in 1969. Mr. DiSanti last worked in the food service department at Williams College, until retiring in 2009. Earlier, he worked for Hillcrest Educational Centers in Pittsfield. He was an active member of the First Congregational Church, Adams, where he served as a Deacon and as a member of Finance and Prudential Committees, as well as serving as a Youth Pastor and Youth Director. Bob especially enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, the former Tina M. Mariani, whom he married on June 8, 1991; two daughters, Sonia DiSanti and her partner, Heather DiSanti, of North Adams; and Leah Sherman and her husband, Paul, of North Adams; four sons, Nathan DiSanti and Robert D. DiSanti, both of Adams; Paul Lemieux, Jr. and his wife, Ronda, of Tracy, Calif. and Richard Lemieux and his wife, Carolyn, of North Adams; his sister, Nancy Dinofrio and her husband, Ken, of Dalton; his mother-in-law, Marlene Olds of North Adams; nine grandchildren, Michael, Bailey, Triston and Kaylee DiSanti; Jacob and Ryan Sherman; and Freedom, Danielle and Melody Lemieux; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Emma Lynn Sherman. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Aug. 25, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the First Congregational Church, Park St. (Rt. 8) Adams. The Rev. Michael Mullany, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
