PITTSFIELD -- Paul Joseph Capitanio Jr., 21, of 106 Parkside Ave. died Sunday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on March 23, 1982, son of Paul J. Capitanio Sr. and Beth E. Taylor Capitanio, he was a 2000 graduate of Pittsfield High School, where he played football. He also attended Berkshire Community College.
Mr. Capitanio was employed by Restorations Inc. of Pittsfield at the time of his death.
He was a communicant of All Souls’ Church. He enjoyed football and was an All-Star baseball player in the Babe Ruth League.
Besides his parents, of Pittsfield, he leaves two sisters, Heather M. Capitanio and Holly M. Capitanio, both of Pittsfield; his paternal grandparents, Mario and Dolores M. DiMassimo Capitanio of Pittsfield, and his maternal grandparents, George and Marion Haverly Taylor of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Paul J. Capitanio Jr., 21 died Sunday, June 22, 2003. Beloved son of Paul J. and Beth E. Taylor Capitanio Sr. Loving brother of Heather M. Capitanio and Holly M. Capitanio. Loving grandson of Mario and Dolores M. (DiMassimo) Capitanio and George and Marion (Haverly) Taylor. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins. The funeral will be Thursday, June 26, at 10 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 at All Souls’ Church by the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, pastor of St. Ann’s Church in Lenox. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 25, from 4 to 8. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to UNICO of Pittsfield Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home.
