Joshua Beckwith 1985 - 2011 PITTSFIELDJoshua Beckwith, 25, of 194 Second St.. formerly of Adams, died Thursday, March 24, 2011, at the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born in North Adams on Sept. 10, 1985, son of John Beckwith of North Carolina and Linda Corbiere Beckwith of Pittsfield, he moved with his parents to Hillsboro, N.C., as a child and attended school there. Mr. Beckwith later returned to the area where he resided in Pittsfield and attended the Mildred Elley Business School for computer programming. He worked for several years for Walmart in Pittsfield. While in Adams, he was a communicant of the former Notre Dame des Sept Douluers Church. He was an avid professional poker player and guitarist and had a great love for motorcycles. Besides his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Dolores Corbiere of Adams; his paternal grandparents, Lucius Beckwith of Pittsfield and Joanne Barcomb of Adams; three brothers, Kurt and Spencer Miller of Pittsfield and Dustin Beckwith of North Carolina; one sister, Lisa Beckwith of New Jersey, one niece, Mackenzie Beckwith of Cheshire, and one special nephew whom he always looked after, Lucius Copeland of Pittsfield. He is also survived by a stepfather, Karl Miller of Pittsfield, and a stepmother, Nina Beckwith of North Carolina. He was predeceased by one brother, Jerod Beckwith, and one maternal grandfather, Raymond Corbiere. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Joshua Beckwith will take place Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at 11 a.m. from the TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12 noon in the Parish of Pope John Paul the Great in Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations in his memory can be made to the Adams Ambulance Fund through the funeral home.
