Ruth Chenaille Obituary

Ruth E. Chenaille 1924 - 2011 WILLIAMSTOWN Ruth Eleanor Anna Dennett Chenaille, 86, of 1267 Cold Spring Rd., Williamstown, died Sunday, April 3, 2011, at North Adams Regional Hospital. She was born in Williamstown on May 7, 1924, daughter of Joseph and Alexina LaForest Dennett. She attended Williamstown High School. In her younger years, Ruth worked at the former Gaevert Film Co. Ruth was primarily a homemaker. She was a devoted wife and mother, and enjoyed spending time with her family. Later in life, she worked at the Berkshire Hills Motel and was a housekeeper for several local families. She was a communicant of St. Patrick/Raphael Church. Ruth enjoyed gardening. She was the widow of Ralph Pierre Chenaille who died on Feb. 29, 2000. They were married in 1945. Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca A. Chenaille of Williamstown; one son, Dr. Peter J. Chenaille, and his wife, Patty, of Vacaville, Calif.; five grandchildren, Megan Chenaille, David Chenaille, Amy Chenaille, Michael Chenaille, and Joanna Chenaille; one sister, Alice Jane Morse of Lee; one brother, Francis Dennett of Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; nieces and nephews. A brother, Roger Dennett, is deceased. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Ruth Chenaille will be celebrated Monday April 11, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Southlawn cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.
