Germaine Loretta Chauvin 1913-2012 LEE Germaine Loretta Chauvin, 99, of Greylock Street in Lee, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, March 27th surrounded by her family, the last of thirteen siblings. She was born in Holyoke, on January 16, 1913, the daughter of William and Mary Jane Parent Domingue. She was educated in schools in Holyoke and in Canada. She worked at Brightside in Holyoke as a teenager, taking care of children and her future son-in-law, Donald Abbott. While at Brightside she met her future husband, Albert H. Chauvin, whom she married August 6, 1932. After her husband's death in 1981, she worked for the Rev. Francis M. Kennedy at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Holyoke. She moved to Lee in the 1980's where she was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of its Adoration Society. She is survived by one son; Daniel E. Chauvin of Phoenix, Ariz.; one daughter, Jacqueline Abbott and her husband Donald of Lee; ten grandchildren; Paul Abbott and his wife Laura, Donna Abbott, Kathy Frieri and her husband Leon, Margaret Abbott, Maryellen Walsh and her husband Michael, Rebecca Dean and her husband Scott, Wendy Nicholson and her husband Rick, Robert C. Chauvin and his wife Karen, Matthew Chauvin and his wife Joann, David Chauvin and his wife Loriann; seventeen great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Robert W. Chauvin. FUNERAL NOTICE: The Funeral for Germaine Chauvin, will be held Friday, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Lee, with the Rev. John K. Sheaffer pastor officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours. Friends wishing may make donations to St. Mary's School Technology or Hospice Care in the Berkshires, in care of the Kelly Funeral 3 Main Street, Lee, MA 01238.
