Thomas Albert Paquette 1944-2012 Thomas Albert Paquette, 68, of Largo, Fla., died on Sunday, may 6, at bay Pines Veterans Medical Wellness Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. He had been failing in health for the past year. Born in North Adams on February 2, 1944, he was the son of the late Valmore and Glorina Paquette. Following graduation from St. Joseph's High School in North Adams in 1963, Tom enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the 101st Airborne Division. While in Vietnam, he received the Purple Heart for injuries suffered. Tom settled in St. Petersburg following his discharge from the army. Most recently, he was employed by the Veterans' Administration until his retirement. He leaves his longtime partner, Maureen Boyle and two step-daughters, Cienne and Lura. He also leaves three sisters, Anne Clark and her husband, David, and Jacqueline Demastrie and her husband, Paul of Adams; Mary Lou Paquette of Concord, N.H. and four brothers, Victor of Adams, Mark and his wife Charmaine, of Cheshire, Edward and his wife, Susan of the town of Washington, and Charles and his wife Janice of Williamstown. Tom also leaves several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. During his full life, Tom always enjoyed special family gatherings and travelling wih friends to the mountains of North Carolina. He also faithfully attended CMT Music Fest in Nashville, Tenn. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial mass will be celebrated by the Rev. David Raymond at St. Mary's Church in Cheshire on Friday, May 11 at 11 a.m. Burial in Florida will follow at a later date.
