Joseph B. Millette

1927-2012 Mr. Joseph Bernard Millette, 85, of 12 South Village East, Southwick, formerly of Murrells Inlet, SC and a longtime resident of Adams, died on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Governor's Center in Westfield.

He was born in Adams on July 6, 1927, son of the late Joseph Emil and Blanche (Beauchemin) Millette. He attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School.

Mr. Millette was a Veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Navy until receiving his honorable discharge on September 6, 1945.

Mr. Millette was employed as a Coil Winder in the Power Transformer Division of General Electric Co., Pittsfield, until retiring after 42 years. During his career he traveled for the company to Brazil, Arizona, Utah, Indiana and Puerto Rico.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, the former Eileen Kolodziej, whom he married on May 1, 1948; two daughters; Janis Grimaldi-Ogden and her husband Thomas Ogden of Westfield and Dr. Gail Royal-Hardister and her husband Wm. Gwyn Hardister of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; one Grandson; Adam Grimaldi of Southwick; one Sister; Elaine Jozefiak of Adams; and several nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m. in the Parish Church of Blessed John Paul, McKinley Square, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, Pastor.

Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
