Albert J. Litano

1937-2012 PITTSFIELD Mr. Albert J. Litano 75, of 110 Euclid Avenue, Pittsfield, died Friday, October 12, 2012 at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield.

He was born in North Adams, on January 12, 1937 a son of the late Albert F. and Marie (Valotta) Litano. He attended Pittsfield Schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1955 where he was a member of the baseball and football teams.

He was employed by the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority for 38 years and for 14 years was supervisor of Tolls, and retired in 1996. After retirement he was employed part time at Pontoosuc Lake Country Club. He was a communicant of St. Mark's Church. Albert was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling, and was a coach for Pop Warner football and was a fan of the New York Yankees and also served in the United States Marine Corps.

Survivors include his wife, the former Margaret Terpak, whom he married on October 11, 1958. One son, Mark Litano of Pittsfield, one brother, Patrick Litano and his wife Andrea of Pittsfield, two sisters, Frances Kelly and her husband Ronald of Cary, North Carolina, Donna Marie Pivero of Pittsfield, a Granddaughter, Bianca Rogan.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Albert J. Litano will be Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Marks Church celebrated by the Rev. John C. Salatino, Pastor and Rev. Tomasz Parzynski, Parochial Vicar. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are No Calling Hours.
