Frances J. "Cookie" Pelletier

1933-2012 ADAMS Frances J. "Cookie" Pelletier, 78, of 3 Woods Dr., died Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the Hillcrest Commons Care Center in Pittsfield.

Born in Adams on December 29, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Mary and John Strzepek Bednarz. Mrs. Pelletier attended St. Stanislaus Kostka Elementary School in Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School.

Her place of employment was for the former Arnold Print Works in Adams, after which she became a homemaker and with her husband through the years traveled to many different countries

because of his job. She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame des Set Douleurs Church in Adams, and was a member of both the Ladies of Ste. Anne and the St. Stanislaus Rosary Sodality.

Her husband, Joseph P. Pelletier, whom she married on May 2, 1953 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, died April 19, 2008.

She is survived by two daughters, Jean Donovan and her husband William of Adams, Susan Dorsey of Mount Juliet, Tenn., six grandchildren, Anthony, Christa, and Joseph Melillo, Vittoria Fontanetta, Elissa and John Ariazi, and several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was predeceased by five brothers, Frank, Stephen, and Chester Bednarz, Casimer, and Chester Nowak, three sisters, Phyllis Reid, Daisy Bednarz and Celia Mercier.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Frances will take place Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. from the TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in the Parish of Pope John Paul the Great at 12 p.m., burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Donations in her memory and be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
