Agnes A. Cobb

1919 - 2012 GREAT BARRINGTON Agnes A. Cobb, 93, of Castle Hill Ave., Great Barrington, died Saturday, Nov. 24, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Great Barrington on Feb. 1, 1919, daughter of Angelo and Maria Negrini Zamberletti. She attended local schools and was a graduate of the former Searles High School. She worked as a teacher's aide at Bryant School and then as a nurse's aide at Fairview Hospital. Agnes was a communicant of St. Peter's Church. She was a charter member of the S.B.V.A.S. She enjoyed crocheting, flowers, gardening, playing bingo at St. Peter's, walking, bird watching and feeding, and she was a lover of animals, especially her dogs, Kaine, Klutch, Moose and Dalilah, and her pet pig Rosie. Her family fondly remembers and describes her as sweet as she was, she always had something up her sleeve.

Agnes' husband, Hubert E., whom she married on Sept. 21, 1951, predeceased her on Nov. 14, 2010. She leaves two sons, David of Fortine, Montana, and Christopher and his wife Betsy of Monterey; one brother Romeo and his wife Patrice of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and three grandchildren, Trevor, Nina, and Kyle.

Besides her husband, Hubert, Agnes was also predeceased by one son Calvin, one grandson Treyson, and one brother Louis Zamberletti.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Agnes A. Cobb, who died Nov. 24, will be held on Thursday, Nov. 29, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Peter's Church with the Rev. William P. Murphy, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 4-7 PM at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME.
