1916 - 2012 ADAMS Mildred T. (Kruzel) Matuszak, 96, formerly of 4 Godek Street, Adams, died on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Williamstown Commons in Williamstown, where she had resided for the past year and a half.
She was born on March 20, 1916, in Florida, Mass., daughter of Matthew and Helen (Meczywor) Kruzel. She attended the St. Stanislaus Kostka School in Adams and was last employed by Berkshire Fine Spinning. She was a longtime communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and was a member of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Sodality and the TMTM Club. She enjoyed playing Bingo, knitting, listening to Polish music, sitting on her porch, visiting with her family, going out to dinner, trips to casinos, traveling on senior bus trips with friends, bowling, going to the races, and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara A. Wajda and her husband Jack of Orlando, Florida, and Dorothy Ann Murphy and her companion Bob Waite of Holden; a sister, Bina Nazzewski of Adams; grandchildren Michael Wajda, Brian Wajda, Brian Kelly, Kathleen Budzowski, Christopher Kelly, Beth Murphy, Ellen Murphy Dolphin, and Matthew Murphy; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Her husband, Matthew J. Matuszak, whom she married on June 30, 1936, died on Sept. 10, 1975.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Florence H. Kelly of Kansas, two brothers, Frank Kruzel and Matthew Kruzel, and two sisters, Blanche Nazzewski and Monica Cyrulik.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 11 a.m. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are on Friday, December 14, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m at the funeral home. Members of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Sodality will meet at the funeral home on Friday at 4:40 p.m. to pay their respects and recite the Rosary.
