1957 2012 PITTSFIELD Thomas Edward McLaughlin, 55, died peacefully on Sunday surrounded by his friends and family at Berkshire Medical Center.
He was born in Pittsfield to Richard and Marion (Watson) McLaughlin on September 18, 1957. Thomas attended local schools and later moved to California, where he had the best times of his life. While there, he worked in the oil fields. Upon returning to Pittsfield, he was employed at Vicon Recovery Associates for many years.
Thomas was predeceased by his father Richard and his brother Steven in 1998.
He is survived by his mother Marion McLaughlin of Pittsfield, his loving daughter Denise Proper and her husband Justin of Cheshire, his brothers Rick McLaughlin and his wife Nancy of Wisconsin; Raymond Sheline of Boston; his sister Anne Sheline and her fiance Richard Kelly of Dalton. Thomas is also survived by his sister-in-law Dawn McLaughlin of Pittsfield, who always went out of her way to make his life a little easier. Thomas will be missed by his grandchildren Hunter and Alena and his niece Heidi and his nephews Peter, Steve, Jake, Drew and Noah. Thomas will also be sadly missed by Jack and Cookie and all of his Tyler Street Friends, as well as his special friend, his cat Angel. All services will be private and held at the convenience of his family.
