Helen R. Burzimati
1921 - 2013 NORTH ADAMS Helen Rita Burzimati, 91, of 168 Houghton St., North Adams, died Monday Jan. 14, 2013, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
She was born in North Adams on Oct. 25, 1921, daughter of Lorenzo and Angelina (Mazzu) Burzimati. She graduated from the Drury High School. Helen worked at Sprague Electric Co. for many years until her retirement in 1983. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church and a former member of its Legion of Mary. She enjoyed aerobics and cooking.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Moncecchi, and her husband, Dino, of Adams. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Helen was predeceased by one sister and four brothers, Josephine Marchio, John, Theodore, Frank, and Albert Burzimati.
FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Helen Burzimati will be Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at 10:15 AM from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 4-7 PM.
