1919 - 2013 PITTSFIELD Ann Poneck, 93, died on Friday at Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility.

She was born in Holyoke on August 8, 1919 to Patrick and Theresa Mahon. She attended Pittsfield area schools and graduated from St. Joseph's High School in June of 1939. Ann worked for many years as a retail sales associate at Sears Roebuck & Company, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Ann was a communicant of St. Mark's Church and regularly volunteered at the School, Rectory and Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore, in 2001 after 48 years together. Ann is survived by her daughter Deborah Schilling and her partner Mark Trembley of Pittsfield with whom she resided for the last two years; a son Stephen and his wife Kathy of Lisbon, Connecticut, and her brother James P. Mahon and his wife Rosemary also of Pittsfield. She will be especially missed by her grandchildren, Dennis T. Schilling, Stephen, Shane, Rory, and Troy Poneck, and great grandchildren Shenna, Olivia and Justin. The family of Ann would like to thank the staff of Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility and Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion you provided to Ann during her time in your care. And a special thanks to Marshon, Jennifer and Debbie for their care prior to her stay at Mt. Greylock.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 AM Monday January 21, 2013 at St. Mark's Church, 400 West Street, Pittsfield. A calling hour will precede the Liturgy, at 8 AM at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Ave. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 222 Pecks Road.
