Betty S. Russell

1928-2013 DALTON Betty S. Russell, 84 of 600 Main St., passed away Wednesday at Berkshire Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born in Pittsfield, on April 6, 1928 the daughter of Frank and Stella Liberty Camp, she was a 1946 graduate of Pittsfield High School.

Betty was a homemaker, making sure that her family had a loving home to come home to.

She was a Lioness in the Hinsdale Lions Club and was an avid Yankee Fan.

Betty was a member of the Dalton United Methodist Church.

Her husband Arthur M. Russell predeceased her; he passed away July 5, 1989.

Betty is survived by her daughter Brenda Provencher and her husband Ronald of Hinsdale, Mass., two sons Arthur Russell Jr. and William Russell both of Pittsfield, grandchildren Al Goodermote Jr., Michael Provencher, Melody Marcella, Colin Russell, six great grandchildren and her beloved cat Sadie.

Betty was predeceased by her daughter Bette Jean Gallant, sister Constance Shumaker and brother Franklin Camp.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mrs. Betty S. Russell will be held Tuesday, January 29 at 11 a.m. at the Dalton United Methodist Church with Pastor Victor Han officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashuelot Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the BARTLETT WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME. Donations in Betty's memory may be made to Hinsdale Lions Club in care of the funeral home, 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
