Delphine N. Renzi

1917 - 2013 PITTSFIELD Delphine N. Renzi, 95, of West Housatonic Street died Sunday at her home, with her family at her side.

Born September 26, 1917, in Pittsfield, daughter of Henry and Frances W. Butler Rhinehart, she graduated from New Lebanon Central High School in 1935 and was a 1939 graduate of the Henry W. Bishop Memorial Nursing School. Delphine and her husband for 20 years operated the Renzi Nursing Home until their retirement in 1976.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pittsfield; her family built the original church on the Butler property. Delphine was a member of the Henry W. Bishop Memorial Nurses Alumni Association.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph D. Renzi, whom she married October 18, 1941.

Delphine is survived by her daughter, Susan F. Renzi and her husband James Barba of Wynantskill, NY; sons Joseph R. Renzi and his wife Carolyn and Anthony "Corky" Renzi both of Pittsfield, MA, sister in law Flora Rhinehart of Rome, GA, grandchildren Joseph A. Renzi and his wife Leslie, Darlene G. Renzi, Jeffrey D. Renzi and two great granddaughters Natalia M. Renzi and Gianna G. Renzi, also numerous nieces and nephews. Delphine was predeceased by her brothers Henry and Carl.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside services for Mrs. Delphine N. Renzi will be Friday, March 1, at 11 a.m. at the Pittsfield Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude and appreciation for the exceptional care given by the health care personnel led by Donna Dearstyne.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Delphine's memory may be made to Berkshire Humane Society or Elder Services of Berkshire County or HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201 who are in charge of arrangements.
