Jean E. Duprat

1929 - 2013 LITCHFIELD, NH Jean E. Duprat, 83, of Nashua and formerly of Litchfield, widow of Warren B. Duprat, died Saturday morning, February 23, 2013, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, after a period of declining health. and Jennie (Rogers) Ellis, she was born in Eastham, Mass., on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1929. Jean grew up in Yarmouth, MA and was a graduate of Yarmouth High School, Class of 1947. Jean and her husband, Warren, were married on September 23, 1947, and made their home in North Adams, MA for many years, and resided for several years in West Virginia before relocating to New Hampshire in 1980. The Duprats Hollis and Hudson for a time before moving to Litchfield in 1990.

Mrs. Duprat was employed with the former Sanders Associates, Inc. from 1981 to 1990 and had previously worked for Western Union, Sprague Electric Company and Triangle Racing Publications in West Virginia. Jean was a member of Grace Fellowship Church of Nashua. In her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Warren B. Duprat, who died July 25, 2004; and two sisters, Lois and Doris.

Members of her family include her three children, Daniel L. Duprat and his wife Anja of Litchfield, David W. Duprat and his wife Diane of Nashua and Wendy A. Duprat of Nashua; five grandchildren, Sean Duprat of Litchfield, Scott Duprat and his wife Jennifer of Milton, Stephen Duprat of Nashua, Sarah Hogan and her husband William of Holly Ridge, NC and Cody Duprat of Nashua; five great-grandchildren, Olivia, Allison and Emily Duprat, and Sean and Aaron Hogan; three brothers, Donald Ellis, Alan Ellis and Philip Ellis; three sisters, Beverly Pina, Marilyn and Sally; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Her funeral service will be held in Grace Fellowship Church, 43 Main Street corner of Franklin Street, Nashua, Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. Friends are invited to attend. Interment will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. Donations may be made in her memory to the Arbors of Bedford, 70 Hawthorne Drive, Bedford, NH 03110 or to the Community Hospice House, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
