1939 - 2013 NORTH ADAMS Henry G. "Hank" Brazeau Sr., 73, of 173 Chantilly Ave., died Monday, March 11, 2013, at the North Adams Regional Hospital.
He was born in Pittsfield on March 27, 1939, a son of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Duclos) Brazeau. He graduated from Pittsfield High School.
He was an Army veteran.
Hank was employed for many years for the Berkshire Cable Co. and last worked as a self-employed general contractor.
He was a communicant of St's Patrick & Raphael Parish in Williamstown. He was a member of the Greylock Community Club.
Hank was known for his generosity and helping people in need. In his younger years, he was a professional wrestler known as "Hammer Hank."
His wife, Martha (Reynolds) Brazeau, whom he married Jan. 4, 1964, died July 31, 1999.
Survivors include three children, Barbara Batulis of Colorado, Martha Slovak of South Carolina, and Henry G. Brazeau Jr. of North Adams; 10 grandchildren, Alisha, Fawn, Shayla, Allan, Michael, Thomas, Jacqueline, Brandi, Christopher and Ryan, and one sister, Rosemary Brazeau of North Adams. He also leaves his companion, Helen Arndt of North Adams.
He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister, Alfred and Joseph Brazeau and Gertrude Smith.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services will take place Friday at 11 a.m. at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St.
