Rhetta Marion Fletcher of 95 Old Cheshire Road died Monday at Greylock Extended Care Facility.

Rhetta was born Jan. 5, 1920 in Cheshire, Conn., the daughter of Rhett and Ethel Fletcher. She received her early schooling in Green Village, N.J. The family moved to Jersey Acres, Lanesboro, in 1930, where she attended local schools and was a Pro Merit graduate of Pittsfield High School in 1936.
She was an outstanding 4-H dairy club member for 11 years. She worked with her brothers at Jersey Acres upon graduation and became co-owner with the late Earl Fletcher in 1965. The farm was sold in 1995 to Berkshire Natural Resources.
Rhetta was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church since 1933. She was organist and choir director there for 12 years and served as the Treasurer for forty years, 1964-2004. She was the chairperson of the Old Stone Church Tower Restoration Committee, 1999-2002, and a member of the steering Committee for the Sunset Concerts at the church, 2000-2003. She was also organ and choir director at St Mark's in Adams for five and a half years.
Rhetta was a member of the Massachusetts Jersey Cattle Club, Secretary-Treasurer 1964-1996, a director of the New England Jersey Breeders and member of the American Jersey Cattle Club.
Rhetta volunteered at BMC Gift shop for seven years.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by sisters, Ruth Correll, Kathleen Proctor and by brothers, Neil Fletcher, Earl Fletcher and Craig Fletcher.

FUNERAL NOTICE: There will be no calling hours. The Wellington Funeral Home has helped with the arrangements. A memorial service will be held for friends and family at the Old Stone Church in the summer. Memorial donations may be made to St Luke's Episcopal Church in Lanesborough.
