Patricia A. Hanna
1933-2013 LENOX DALE Patricia A. Hanna 80, of Lyman Street, South Hadley, died Tuesday at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the mother of Mary T. (Timothy) Sheehan of Lenox Dale.
Born in Springfield on January 21, 1933, the daughter of George and Margaret Moore Pratt, she was raised in the Hungry Hill section and was a graduate of Cathedral High School. She worked at the Hampden County Hall of Justice for 25 years retiring as head clerk, and had recently been employed at Posters, Inc.
She loved golf, watching the Red Sox, and getting together with family and friends. She was a woman with a strong will and was loved by many.
She leaves her husband of 55 years, Edward J. Hanna. They raised their family in East Longmeadow for 40 years, moving to South Hadley in 2000.
Besides her daughter Mary, she leaves three other daughters, Judith (Mark) Covey of Exeter, N.H., Martha (Alan) Berrouard of Granby, and Elizabeth Hanna of Longmeadow; and one son, Thomas Hanna of Richmondville, N,Y. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren whom she loved and cherished; and one brother, John Pratt of Niantic, Conn.
The funeral will be held Saturday, April 20th at 10 a.m. from CORRIDAN FUNERAL HOME, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut St., Springfield. Calling hours are Friday, April 19th from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be Monday, April 22nd at 9 a.m. at Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam.
