Bernice "Bunny" Carlow

1936 - 2013 ADAMS Bernice S. "Bunny" (Loc) Carlow, 76, of Adams, died Thursday morning, May 2, 2013, at North Adams Regional Hospital. She had been a resident of Williamstown Commons for the past year.

She was born in Adams on July 16, 1936, a daughter of Bruno and Helen (Sikora) Loc, and attended Adams schools.

Bunny last worked as a receptionist for the former Electrolux Vacuum Co., in Adams, for several years. Earlier, she had worked at the former Coffee Time Vending Co. for 20 years, and at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. in Adams.

She was a communicant of the Parish of Blessed John Paul, and of its predecessor, St. Thomas Aquinas Parish.

She enjoyed staying home to watch her favorite television programs, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, James P. Carlow, whom she married Oct. 28, 1961; two daughters, Kimberly Gage of Adams, and Kristine Grimes and her husband, Dean, of Cheshire; a sister, Frances Wasko of Enfield, Conn.; four grandchildren, Brittany and Colby Gage, of Adams; and Hayden and Noah Grimes of Cheshire; a great- Grandson, Bentley Gage Zieminski of Adams, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Irene Chojnowski and Dorothy Kozik.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 8, at 11 a.m. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. The Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parish of Blessed John Paul, will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service, at the funeral home.
