Leo Bruce Archambeau
1932-2013 Leo Bruce Archambeau of Mequon, Wisconsin, a former Pittsfield resident, died in West Bend, Wisconsin, on June 1st.
The son of the late Leo E. Archambeau and Rose Plante Archambeau, he was born in Pittsfield on June 30, 1932. A 1950 graduate of St. Joseph High School, he received a BSEE from Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1959. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the US Navy from February, 1953, until June, 1958. During his service, he earned the Korean Service Ribbon, the United Nations Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.
He married the former Regina Slingsby of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on July 9th, 1960. She predeceased him in September, 2010.
He leaves two sons and their wives, Brett and Christine Archambeau of Trabuco Canyon, California, and Bruce and Noelle Archambeau of Elkton, Maryland. He also leaves two grandchildren, Sophia and Aiden Archambeau, and another granddaughter whose birth is expected in August.
Mr. Archambeau also leaves his sisters, Gladys Clairmont, and Patricia Goguen of Pittsfield; four nephews, Bruce, Brian, and Barry Clairmont, and Leon Goguen all of Pittsfield; three nieces, Carol Weissbrod of Washington, MA, and Diane Clairmont and Audrey O'Brien of Pittsfield. In addition, he leaves thirteen great-nieces and nephews, and six great-great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held June 15th at Lumen Christi Catholic Church in Mequon, WI. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI.
