Josephine LePak Horrigan

1915-2013 Josephine LePak Horrigan, 98, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center where she had resided for two years. She had previously lived at BerkshireTown Apartments.

Born in Clarksburg on February 8, 1915, she was the daughter of Josef and Eleanora LePak. She attended schools in Clarksburg and North Adams.

Mrs. Horrigan was employed the Pittsfield Public Schools where she was a baker for 15 years retiring in June 1982.

Prior to her marriage, she worked at Wall Streeter Shoe Company in North Adams, and during World War II worked at Eaton Paper Company.

Mrs. Horrigan had been a communicant of St. Joseph Church and had been a longtime member of St. Charles Church and St. Charles Rosary Sodality. She was also a member of the Senior Center.

Her husband, Joseph P. Horrigan, whom she married on April 19, 1939, at St. Francis Church in North Adams, died July 18, 1967.

Mrs. Horrigan is survived by her daughter, Anne F. Geary and her husband, Robert, of Dalton, and two grandsons, James R. and Michael J. Geary. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was predeceased by an infant son, as well as her siblings.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Josephine Horrigan will be held Thursday, June 27, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Charles Church celebrated by Rev. Michael Lillpopp. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Church in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
