FUNERAL NOTICE ASHLEY FALLS The funeral service for Janet M. Curtis will be Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at 11 a.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington, conducted by Regina King. Burial will follow at Ashley Falls Cemetery on Clayton Road in Ashley Falls.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 15, from 4 to 7p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her daughter, Holly Smith of Kingston, N.Y.; her two sons, Willard A. Curtis of Pittsfield and Trevor A. Curtis of Ashley Falls; four grandsons, Martin, Jacob, Justin and Judd, one great-grandson, Cully, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Heide Curtis; by her sisters, Betty Collingwood and Ann Curtiss, and by her brother, Ira "Bucky" E. Markham, Jr.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Bushnell Library in Sheffield or to the Sheffield American Legion Post #340 through FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, 426 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230, which is caring for the arrangements.
