Eugene J. Franceschini
1935 - 2013 ADAMS Eugene J. Franceschini, 78, of 4 Powers St., died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013 at his home.
Born in North Adams on April 16, 1935, the son of Joseph and Blanche Danecki Franceschini, he attended North Adams schools and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1954.
Mr. Franceschini was employed with the General Electric Co. in Pittsfield in the Ordnance Department for 36 years, retiring in 1991.
He was also an Air Force veteran,
He was an avid reader and enjoyed music.
He is survived by his wife, the former Myrtle M. Pierce, whom he married May 19, 1984; three daughters, Lynn Beals and her husband Michael, Karen Caron and her companion, Louin Norton, and Lori Luczynski, all of Adams; two brothers, Jerry and Steven Franceschini, both of Florida; one sister, Catherine Mouton of Orange, Texas; four grandchildren, Steven and Jonathon Beals, and Nathan and Holley Caron, and two great-grandchildren, Priscilla Caron and Justina Lloyd.
He was predeceased by three grandchildren, Christopher and Nicole Beals and Christopher Caron.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A grave side service and burial will take place Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Southview Cemetery in North Adams. There will be no calling hours.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Adams Ambulance Fund in care of the TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., which is in charge of arrangements.
