Jerome Ozner

1931-2013 LEE Mr. Jerome Ozner 82, of 46 Railroad St. Apt. 307, Lee, Mass. died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Berkshire Medical Center. He was born in the Bronx, New York on January 15, 1931 a son of the late Philip and Frieda (Leitner) Ozner. He attended schools in the Bronx, New York and graduated from Dewitt Clinton High School in 1948. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served with the United States Army. He was employed by the Federal Government for the Coast Guard at Governor's Island for several years and retired in 1991. Jerome enjoyed cooking mystery movies, theatre, traveling, and was a fan of the-New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, and New England Patriots. His wife the former Florence (Samotin) Ozner died on February 22, 2013 and they married on December 24, 1957. Survivors include two daughters, Jill Putignano and her husband Dominick of Pittsfield, Mass., Zina Mattura and her husband Paul of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Five grandchildren, Daniel Putignano and his Fiancee Nicole, Marisa Putignano, Nancy Putignano, Francine Mattura, Teresa Mattura. Two great grandchildren, Isaiah, Madeline. He was predeceased by a brother, Sherman Ozner FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Jerome Ozner will take place Monday, September 9, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI: BENC1VENGA FUNERAL HOME 5 Elm Street. Pittsfield, MA. 01201 with Rabbi Joshua L. Breindel, Spiritual Leader of Temple Anshe Amunim officiating.
