Beloved husband of Susan Black. Loving father of Nicole, Joseph, and Gabriella Viale. Cherished son of Marilyn and Craig Viale of Pittsfield, brother of Kim Peterson of Byfield, Diane Viale of Dallas, Texas, and Lisa Viale of Boston, and uncle to three nieces and three nephews. Mark was generous with his time and resources, was dearly loved, and will be missed by many friends. After graduation, he began his career at the Geary Corporation where he quickly rose to a Vice President position. Thereafter, he held executive leadership positions at KPMG, Stellent, Portal, and finally, Oracle Communications. Mark's career led him to exciting international assignments, often joined by his family, to various locations including Holland, Florence, and Sydney, Australia. Mark most loved spending time with his family, whether coaching or cheering his kids in sports, encouraging and guiding them, or just being their Dad. He enjoyed family vacations as well as family time on Cape Cod and in the Berkshires. His other passions were golf, clamming, and cooking. He was an avid sports fan with his favorites being the Boston sports teams, Notre Dame Football, and Duke Basketball. He loved children; they loved him, and he was a wonderful father and role model.
