Elaine Marie Fillio Houghtling
1935-2013 PITTSFIELD Mrs. Elaine Marie Fillio Houghtling, 77, of 63 Taylor Street, Pittsfield died Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the home of her daughter Karon M. Barry of 37 Darlene Avenue, Pittsfield surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 4, 1935 in Pittsfield a daughter of the late Lloyd and Mabel Evans Fillio. She attended schools in Pittsfield. At one time she had been employed for Rice's Silk Mill, Becton-Dickinson in Conn. and for Poly-Matrix/Syntronix. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, sketching and painting, her cats and most of all her family and grandchildren. She leaves Five daughters, Sharon L. Smith and her husband, Donald of Lee, Karon M. Barry and her husband Wayne of Pittsfield, Cindy L. Giarolo and her husband Bob of Lee, Bonnie J. Wixsom and her husband Robert of Pittsfield and Donna M. St. Cyr and her husband David of North Adams. A Brother, Richard E. Fillio and his wife Margaret of Pittsfield. Ten Grandchildren, six Step Grandchildren, six Great Grandchildren and three Step Great Grandchildren. Four nephews, two nieces and several great nieces and nephews. Also survived by her former husband, Irving R. Houghtling of Unionville, Virginia and her beloved cat Fancy. FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be Private. There are no calling hours. Memorials in her memory may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires or to the Berkshire Humane Society both in care of the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St.

I had the pleasure of meeting Elaine when I worked with her and her daughter
Donna at Poly Matrix several years ago.
Elaine was a warm and caring person who spoke her mind.
