1982-2013 CHESHIRE Michael F. Talora, 31, of 155 School St. Cheshire died Saturday at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 14, 1982 in Pittsfield, he was the son of Frank and Sandra Lyons Talora of Cheshire. Mike was educated in Cheshire schools and was a proud 2000 graduate of Hoosac Valley High School where he played Hurricane football for Coach Joe Alcaro. At the time of his passing he was a self-employed stone mason and landscaper which he had done for many years. He had also worked for the past year at Berkshire Gas as well as at Adams Trucking from 2005 to 2012. He was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church growing up and a volunteer at the annual Josh Snyder Memorial Fishing Derby. Mike was a member of the Eastern Draft Horse Association and enjoyed horse pulling with his Dad and cousins. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, ice fishing and golfing. He was a fan of Detroit Lions Football and was well known for his eggplant parmesan and apple pies. Mike's greatest joy was being a Dad and husband and spending time with his children. Besides his parents of Cheshire, he leaves his wife, Cayla Love Talora, whom he married on March 20, 2010 and their children, Hannah R. Talora and Anthony M. Talora all of Cheshire.; his sister; Samantha A. Talora and her husband, Nicholas Duda of Windsor, his maternal grandmother, Laurette Lyons of Adams and his mother and father-in-law, John and Kathleen Love of Washington. He also leaves his brother-in-law, Eric M. Love of Hinsdale and his sister-in-law; Sasha L. Wood and her husband Nicholas of Hudson. Mike also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and a large group of close friends and extended family. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Michael F. Talora, 31, of Cheshire who died September 21, 2013 will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire celebrated by the Rev. David Raymond, pastor. Burial will follow in Cheshire Cemetery. Calling hours for Mike will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME. Memorial donations in memory of Mike may be made to the Talora Children's Educational Fund through the Talora Fund at Adams Community Bank in care of the DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME, North State Rd. Cheshire, MA 01225.
