Roy William Dupree

1940-2013 NORTH ADAMS Roy William Dupree, 73, of 45 Spring St., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at his home. He was born in Waterbury, Conn. on March 8, 1940 a son of the late Clarence and Nellie (Johnson) Dupree. He graduated from Thomaston High School. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the Army as a Private First Class. He was employed for many years in the heating and cooling industry. He was a member of the Stamford Community Church in Stamford, Vt. and the North Adams American Legion. His first wife, Barbara Consolini, died October 3, 2010 and second wife, Nancy Dupree, died September 3, 1999. Survivors include his daughter, Wendy Klebe and her husband Andrew of Winsted, Conn.; and his granddaughter, Lindsey Palmer of Winsted, Conn. He also leaves his friend, Elzbieta Godyn, of North Adams; stepchildren, Bridget Compston and Christopher Wood; and a niece, Yvette Merrifield and her family. He was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Merrifield. FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside Services will take place Friday at 3 p.m. at Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
