Robert Hardiman

1962-2013 Robert Hardiman, 51, of Stockbridge, died Wednesday at his home. Born in Pittsfield June 22, 1962, the son of Mary Schwab Hardiman and the late James K. Hardiman, he attended St. Mary's Grammar School in Lee, was a 1980 graduate of Lee High School, earned his Associate's Degree in Business from Berkshire Community College in 1982, and also attended North Adams State College (MCLA). Mr. Hardiman was last employed at the Red Lion Inn where he worked for over 25 years. He was also employed for many years at Nejaime's Lenox Wine Cellar. He had many interests including golf, ice fishing, and traveling. He was also a lifelong Red Sox fan and enjoyed going to Fenway Park. Besides his mother, of Lenox, Robert leaves a sister, Ann M. Fitzgerald and her husband Michael of Marblehead, MA; two nephews, Evan James Fitzgerald and James Michael Fitzgerald, and one niece: Mary Eliza Fitzgerald, all of Marblehead, MA. Robert also leaves an aunt and uncle, Carolyn and Joseph Elias, of Pittsfield, MA and many cousins and friends. A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mr. Robert Hardiman of Stockbridge will be Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 11am at St. Ann's Church celebrated by the Fr. Christopher J. Waitekus, Pastor. Burial will be at a later date at St Mary's Cemetery in Lee at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held at Roche Funeral Home in Lenox on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Hardiman's memory may be made to St. Mary's School in Lee or St. Ann's Church in Lenox, both in care of the Roche Funeral Home, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240.
