Mark R. Pratt

1957-2014 DALTON Mark R. Pratt, 56, of 127 Pinecrest Drive, Dalton, died Saturday at North Adams Regional Hospital after suffering from cardiac arrest while hiking on Mt. Greylock. Born on July 28, 1957 in Pittsfield, he was the son of Paul and Frances Polidoro of Dalton. A Pittsfield native, he had resided in Dalton for the past seven years. He was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1976 graduate of Pittsfield High School. At the time of his death, Mark was the owner and president of O.W. Landergren Inc. in Pittsfield where he had worked since 1977. An avid outdoor enthusiast, he enjoyed hiking and bicycling. He was a longtime fan of the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics and a 100 gallon pin blood donor. Mark will always be remembered as a loving son, husband, father and grandfather. He leaves his wife, the former Elizabeth Polidoro of Dalton whom he married on June 2, 1979 in Pittsfield. A son; Jared M. Polidoro and his fiancee Victoria Coleman of New York City and his daughter; Lisa C. Curley and her husband Joseph of Cumberland, RI. He also leaves his three loving granddaughters; Megan, Emily and Erin. He was predeceased by his grandfather, the late Eric Hellman. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Mark R. Pratt, 56, who died February 22, 2014, will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at the DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield. Services and burial will be private. Memorial donations in memory of Mark may be made to the Massachusetts Audubon Society in care of the Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
