Ruth Mary Adams
1944 - 2014 NORTH ADAMS Ruth Mary King Adams, 70, of Apache Drive, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at North Adams Regional Hospital. She was born in North Adams, on January 30, 1944, a daughter of the late Frederick and Ruth Sweeney King. She attended schools in North Adams. She was employed for many years at Hunter Outdoor Company and at the Williamstown Women's Exchange. She enjoyed camping, cookouts and spending time with her family. Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth Adams, Sr. whom she married on Nov. 7, 1964; her daughter, Cheryl Summer of Texas; four sons, William Adams of Pownal, Vt., Kenneth Adams and his wife, Heather, Leonard Adams, and Dennis Adams and his wife, Linda, all of North Adams; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Cloutier and Evelyn Ritcher of North Adams, and two brothers, Joseph A. King of Williamstown and Ronald E. King of North Adams. Mrs. Adams was predeceased by two sons, Fred King in 1999 and Keith Adams in 2007; a brother, Fred E. King and a sister, Shirley A. Gardner. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Ruth Mary King Adams will take place on Tuesday, March 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Flynn and Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, 521 West Main Street, North Adams.
